Oh Mark…I loved the Music “Gold”! That is one of my very favorite Lyle Lovett tunes…I bet the church event he sings about happened in Charlotte, right? The Mark Cohn is another favorite. Clearly you have been my favorite, RG, but I sure do miss you jocking at times…Casey Kasem, another legend, has nothing on you in the “color” department or giving the back story to a song or event. It all still makes me smile, BIG. Thanks, RG!
Amazon ladder – I’ve ordered one before. No outer shipping box. Amazon slapped the mailing label on the ladder and duct taped the uprights and some of the rungs together so the ladder won’t slide or open up while in transmit.
Gold records – How does the record company verify which radio station was the first to play an eventual hit song? I know the record company marketing department must send out tens or hundreds of those so it seems possible many radio stations start to play it on the same day. I’ve only heard of two of the nine songs, but I got a smile on my face about “King Tut” thinking about the great memory of studying Egypt in middle school in the 1980s and there was an assignment where one female classmate played the “King Tut” song, did a dance and was dressed in a bikini with Egyptian-like accents. You know parents would be outraged if that was done today in the classroom!
MORNIN MARK,… HOW BIG WAS “BOSS RADIO” AS AN INFLUENCE AS YOU WERE PERFECTING YOUR “RADIO GOD-NESS”,..OR DID YOU THINK JOCK’S LIKE “THE REAL DON STEALE” WERE “OVER THE TOP”,..#4 MY MONEY “DON WAS GENIUS”,… !

Listening to this today and praying Irma doesn’t devastate this area. Sarasota sounds so beautiful and hope it stays that way.
