Mark i know that you are totally into Bob Ross. Have you seen the Bob Ross Positive Energy drink? I saw a review for it on a YouTube channel that i watch.
I’ve never missed a show and love hearing your cool stories in music “betcha didn’t know” segments.
Many years ago on M&B you interviewed the writer of “The Wrecking Crew” book and it was so fascinating I bought the book immediately.
I’ve always loved the bass playing on these old tunes from the Wrecking Crew. Especially the bass playing of Carol Kaye. She was the only woman in “The Crew.”
You’d be surprised to hear all that she has recorded. Here’s a wikipedia link to what you might find fascinating.
Mark, Mark, Mark! I am not a fan of horror movies, especially ones with CLOWNS! I have not seen “IT”, but, because of you, I can quote that scene between Georgie and Pennywise the Clown. My co-worker suggested I see the trailer, which I did – HELL NO! Not watching that movie. Nope! No way! But, thank you, for ingraining that scene into my brain! Thanks a LOT!
On another note, Elton John sang a version of “Candle in the Wind” at Princess Diana’s funeral, called “Goodbye England’s Rose”. He changed the lyrics to better match Diana’s life and death.
Hey guys… stumbled across this and wondered if you heard it… itâs the Friends Theme
Re-Done in minor keys instead of the Major Keys it was originally done in… kinda cool.
Love ya!
Kinda short notice but Dawn and I are in Maui. Be nice to do the island question. Call USA if you want 503-4762081 we will be up walking in the beach between 2-3 am Hawaii time
Mark your paintings are look great and wow your trees actually look like trees, I would like to see you paint the trees in the ending credits of Andy Griffith. I know you can do it and it would look amazing hanging on the wall.
The âGrow Up!!!â Clause, regarding Antonio Brown. ..My suggested rule and policy for any Professional player who signs contract for $10 million an more. It would read…âIf ever a player requires coach , owner, or executive to coach or council signed player with proven said solution as âGrow Upâ contract can an will be reduced by 50% with and option to bench with out pay for set number of games if growing up solution is not implementedâ
Wanted to let Mark know that James Burton was interviewed this week by Terri Gross on “Fresh Air”. It’s fascinating and I think Mark would really enjoy it. Mr. Burton is one of the greatest session guitarist of all time, playing on thousands if recordings, just as Hal Blaine played percussion on thousands of records. They talk about when he started out playing for Rick Nelson at the age of 16 through to his years with Elvis. Great stuff and would be a fantastic “Betcha Didn’t Know” topic. Love the podcast and have listened to Mark for years. Here’s the link: https://www.npr.org/2019/09/03/757066866/elvis-guitarist-james-burton-i-went-professional-when-i-was-14
