Hey mark and linda, i would like to believe that i am one of the original 43. A so cal native of 58 years. Im a carpenter and the mark and brian show was the background noise for my life. Every jobsite everyday. I married my kids mother on your show ( along with a bunch of other hopeless romantics) valentines day, maybe 1989? My efforts to forget the marriage have almost worked, but m and b were stil there. I raised my two sons with m and b in the background every morning. Its been almost 30 years since then. My sons are 29 & 27 they have lives of their own and im lovin life at 58. Your time at the sound, before they got boned by the man, was again the background noise to life, and a great flashback to the busy times of parenthood. Ive recently started listening to your podcasts and really enjoy it. I have spent a lot of time in the mooresville,nc area and have friends who live on lake norman. I understand why you call it home. This is simply a thank you for many years of noise and laughs, tears, and memories.
Congrats on your sucess.
Ps. “Kinky as a cheap garden hose” is now my go to when my girlfriend asks ” how are you doing today”
Dear Mark & Lynda…. I wish I could tell you what you mean to me. I am a long time listener from the M&B days and can’t begin to tell you how many times I almost crashed my car from the tears streaming down my checks when you two would go in a tear and bait each other. Those were the days!!! I also followed your to the M & L Podcast as well as Mark in the Morning and I too cried a bucket of tears when you let us all know that Mark in the Morning was going to go off the air. But I was elated when I found out that the M & L Podcast was coming back!!! I as many people did the Happy Dance to be able to listen once again to “The Radio Gawd” as well as Miss Lynda!!! So, Congratulations on the opening of the movie. I have no doubt that it will be wonderful and will be 1st in line to get a ticket when it comes to Podunk Turlock!! Keep up the good work anytime Mark wants to tell a “Mama & Luther Story” I will listen enthralled!! Loved, Loved, Loved the Mama & Luther Stories!!! Btw…. My Birthday is Wednesday May 23. Could I PLEASE have a Birthday Chicken for my Birthday??? Love Ya Both So Much… Marcie
I got right on the Google to look up the card game you (aka: y’all) play, and up comes this link:
How To Play Kings in the Corner – Card Games – Grandparents.com
Movie you’ve got to see ~ Death Proof by Quinton Terantino. With Stunt Man Mike (Kurt Russel), the best car accident scene ever (watch in slow motion), sexual tension and revenge with chases from Santa Ynez Valley. Very suspense filled !!!
Hope you have a wonderful week
Congratulations on the premier
