Congratulations on your first grandchild. Like yourselves we are also expecting our 1st and can feel your pain. Our daughter is an Air Force wife and will be giving birth in Germany! We hope to be able to travel if not for the birth, some time soon. Shout out to our baby girl “G” and airman Trav.
Hi Marc and Lyndia, I too became a Grammy in November! My granddaughter was 5 weeks early! I flew out to see my daughter (our kids are around the same age) Because of Covid I was unable to see my grandbaby. My wonderful daughter put a Grammy cam in her crib so I can talk to her while she was in there, I now get to fly back out again in a few weeks and love on her! Congratulations to you two! The feeling is great!
I’m sure the RG already knows this but a little fact. Mark played a clip of Paul Simon’s “Mother and Child Reunion”. One of the backup singers was Emily “Cissy” Houston who was Whitney Houston’s mom. She also sang some backup for Elvis.
Hi Mark and Lynda,
So happy for you two and of course for Amy & Bradley! One of the first things I thought of with the hockey shtick(ark ark), was that Todd Donahoe needs to give y’all the gift of a voice over for the end of that video. Thinking good thoughts to ramp up that vaccine production for you two and us all (I’m a teacher, so yeah i’m waiting right there with ya… lol) Also, the name of the “Pea Soup” place is Andersens. I grew up in Lompoc, near Buellton where the restaurant is, and I agree with ya Mark. A bit overrated, but iconic, thanks to the goofy billboards. There is an amazing place not far from that called Industrial Eats, for when you two do get back this way however, highly recommended.
Hope this finds you two having a good week. Take good care! : ) Cori in Santa Maria
