Mark, if you found out the reason you’re not getting any movie roles was because of the big 2:13 tattoo on your arm, they don’t like you advertising another movie, it’s like having a coke tattoo on your arm and going to interview for a position with Pepsi, if that were the case would you consider getting rid of it? or would you say “Fuck them, that’s my movie, my tattoo I’m not getting rid of shit.”
how is Debozze a cheater? I have playing the M&L football pool on Poolhost dot com since Debozze invited M&L listeners to join. I also get involved in the preseason games.
Long time listener, way back when I got back from Japan in 1996. I spent a total of 14 years there, 7 with the USAF and 7 working for a Japanese company. I played Pachinko a lot and let me tell you the game is all about winning money. The Pachinko Parlors give prizes, not cash as that would violate the gambling laws. However, you can select a special prize, specially coded plastic cases containing flints like you use in Zippo lighters. You then take these prizes down the street to a Pachinko prize exchanger for cash. Hopefully Linda won’t trip over the word Pachinko. It took me a few years to not trip over difficult pronunciations.
Now in the US, this would be considered gambling, however in Japan they go by the letter of the law, which defines gambling as betting money to win money. By getting prizes, they circumvent the intent of the law…
For your listener going to Japan soon, they must go to the Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum. They have 9 or 10 different flavors of ramen from all over Japan, and the decor is from the Edo period. I ate there about once or twice a week, never disappointed.
Linda, you are the best but of course in comparison to the radio god… Pachinko.

dear lynda, on friday, august 17th, i will be turning 34. on top of that, in 2011, i was fortunate enough to receive the greatest birthday gift a man could ever receive, a beautiful baby girl. yes, my daughter olivia and i share birthdays! she will be turning 7. not sure what my wife has planned for us, if anything at all, but i thought i’d kindly request a birthday chicken from ya for my daughter and i. thank you.
ELENI!!! I’ve had Messy-Ex Love stuck in my head all weekend! Just went and bought your EP on amazon. I fucking love every single song so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So freaking good!
Regarding the airport terminal being shut down for vibrators in luggage, they may have accidentally turned on. I have learned this lesson the hard way…take the batteries out before packing. Love to all of you!
Hey Kids! Thanks for the birthday chicken. Mark, check out the podcast just before you played, “Kokomo”. Lynda was still reading, stopped a minute as the music played and then started again, then stopped, JUST as the lyrics began. She posted that song perfectly! You’ve got some serious competition, RG! It’s so fun to listen to the banter between the 2 of you and love the show and DvD. Have a great weekend, NL
Hey Thompsons!
I dont know if you all watch Orange is the New Black on Netflix, but I had to laugh when at the end of season 7 episode 3, a familiar song played…yes, you guessed it..Kokomo…
Also, Mark, I applaud your bravery about sharing your story of your fight with depression. I have suffered my whole life with chronic depression. There were times I felt so lost and alone I thought there was no way out. A stranger helped me at my lowest point. Its important for us to share our stories, no matter what it is. If it helps one person, thats a great thing. So, Mark, keep up the conversation…youve already helped someone.
And Katie, keep on your path. You are an inspiration to others.
And finally, I want to hijack your podcast a minute with a psa. Please, get yourselves the shingles vaccine. I didnt and now I have shingles on my face. I wish I had gotten the shot..this crap hurts. On my worse days I had to stay home. It was so bad I was afraid of scaring the little children.
Congrats Amy and Bradly. May you have a long and wonderful life together…
