Hey Lynda and Mark,
With our world in so much turmoil and chaos I am pretty much checked out of the news world. I am so grateful to listen to M & L and DVsD for a couple of hours. All of the news I need to hear is included: Where to get the best burger, Who is breaking up with whom in the entertainment world, When to get a manicure and pedicure, How to get rid of anything with a pressure washer, What type of trimmer all men should use, where to buy a reasonably priced knife online… Yes, absolutely everything I need to know is covered. And when I listen to you I smile and I’m calm and I’m happy. This works in my life and I am grateful to have it. Thank you so much.
Maggie was fucking awesome. Favorite line was my boyfriend might be 66 but he fucks like a 20 year old. To funny and good on ya Maggie and I am happy for you.
Lynda? So what is the model number of Marks trimmer? Panasonic right? Was that ER 224? Just fucking with you. I know that chaps yer hide so I wanted to fuck with you. Go Panthers Gerrrr! But get real….GO STEELERS!
I loved the VLOG from Amy…and I agree with Skeeter that listening to Mark DJ and play his favorite songs was GOLD. I am turning 50 on the August 20th and am having a DISCO party to celebrate. I would really appreciate it if I could get the birthday chicken. Love you guys.
Hey Kids,
Thank you sooooooo much for making me ball like a baby during the Glen Campbell Frenzy! I didn’t realize how hearing so many of his songs at once would make me get so emotional! While never a huge fan, I grew up listening to his songs; mostly the ones my dad would sing and play on his guitar. He suffered a brain injury awhile back and can no longer play (he never could really sing :-)) and the frenzy brought it all back. Thank you again…feelin’ like a big ol’ pussy,
Gayle

So good to hear my sister Maggie on the podcast……and yet…..I cringed several times during her personal comments. Much more than I wish to know about my sister. Lynda was cringing with me in mind…and rightfully so. I sort of felt like Amy for a few minutes when Katie talks about herself sexually. GREAT SHOW and thanks to Mark and Lynda for being so nice and loving to my sister. Now I need to go clear my ears.
Oh, my. Getting to bed late this Saturday night. Figured I would give the podcast a listen. No offense, but I fell asleep to it, but woke up in the middle of it. I’m hearing music. Familiar music. I’m wondering what happened to the podcast I was listening to. The songs go in rotation. All Glenn Campbell. It hits me. You guys are playing a tribute to him. My God, I almost cried. The songs take me back through my childhood, at home, on vacation crossing the country. Good times. Sad times. RIP GP. Thanks guys.
Glen Campbell is the first artist whose music I remember from my childhood. Rhinestone Cowboy & Country Boy were my favorites. Your frenzy brought me to tears. Thank you for the memories!!
Mark and Lynda, thank you for honoring Glenn Campbell today. I grew up with his music and I can’t think of any of his songs that I do not love. His daughter did a tribute to him with a song she wrote about her father last year. Her voice is smooth as silk just like her Father. The song will put a tear in your eye if you have a heart and liked Glenn. You really need to find the video because it is a beautiful tribute to her Father. I want to wish you two a wonderful celebration for your anniversary. You have set the bar high for your kids and showed them what true love and working through your issues is all about. Bless You Both. Eat my balls Mark. 🙂 <3
Update on my last and final sister and family member with cancer. Her Chemo is not working after 11 months, three new tumors and no more treatment. She is now in a care facility and rapidly declining. Thanks for your support and reading the poem I wrote when my sister Rebecca passed in March of 2013, of the same disease. I will not bother you with the sadness of this loss. Bless you both. Skeeter, please add me to your birthday chicken on the show on the 25th, as my birthday is the 26th. Thank you if you can. Still love you if you can't.
