Hi M and L!
Love you both! Look forward to your podcasts every week (sad, when you were dark for a week).
Please keep doing what your doing, as you make each one of your listeners day a little more brighter! Thank you!
Btw..today, March 23rd is “National Chip and Dip day”–CELEBRATE!
On the last show Mark said something along the lines of being āintriguedā by younger listeners. Iām in my young 30ās, and for me, I think itās nostalgia and the comfort of Markās voice because my dad always had M&B on in the car. I think Markās voice is friendly and familiar, and even soothing in a way.
I used to listen to MITM while driving my son to elementary school. I wasnāt aware he was paying attention to the radio until one day he walked in from his room with his Lego RV and he had ripped the roof off. He said āMom, look- itās Markās RV!ā I realized he also liked listening to Mark and that Markās voice had become familiar to him as well.
So, yes, you have fans of all ages. I love DvD and M&L and listen every week. Itās like visiting with old friends!
Love to you both, and to the whole Thompson family (including Red!).
Mark as long as I live I will never forget the story you told on M & B of your father’s passing, then Bridge Over Troubled Water was played & I think you said he liked that song. It was the way it was played in context to the story of your fathers passing that made me cry. You started to break up & Frank kind of faded you out & all we heard was that song swelling! It was very powerful! Thus the reason I’ll always be reminded of Luther every time I hear that song!
I just about drove my car off the road when Lynda said “I don’t watch American Idol, it’s just too nice everybody is just too nice and Katy Perry is weird and awkward” that shocked me because what Lynda is really saying is she is okay with other people’s kids being humiliated and embarrassed on national TV but if somebody wrote a message to the DVD show calling her girls “weird and awkward” she sure in hell would NOT read that message.
Mark and Lynda,
I just started listening a year ago (religiously) thanks to my boyfriend, who has been a fan since the 90s) and it is awkward and hilarious how much our relationship mimics yours. Not only that, my bf calls me Bitchel from something said on your show once. But, the best thing is that my bf uses the same phrases as Mark and sings me Lyndas jingles all the time. (Have you ever put butter on a poptart).
Thx for making my commutes enjoyable.
And oh, talk about what women want in bed? YES, dominance bitch!! We LOVE it!

Hey all. One town missing on the list is Cumming, ga. It is 40 miles north of Atlanta. Yes it is spelled Cumming!

I meant Katies jingles, not Lyndas.
It was St Patrick’s Day, I may have been drunk. Haha
