Hi Mark & Lynda,
I’m an old M & B listener starting back in 1985. Best radio show ever! I heard your segment from March 31 “We Are Taxed”. One of the topics was the murder of 3 kids & 3 adults by a deranged individual. It is very maddening but one thought I’d like to present. Why is it when one person kills another person with any object or weapon other than a gun the killer’s psychological state of mind is questioned? The object used is never blamed but when any type of gun is used it’s the gun that is blamed. The problem is the person not the object or weapon used.
Thank you Mark for writing your book. It made the 5 hour flight to and from Hawaii with my husband to celebrate our 30th anniversary more enjoyable and tolerable.
When you’re out in LA, why don’t you do a special Daddy vs Daughters? Or better yet, Granddaddy vs Grandkids. They would be an audience that haven’t heard all of Mark’s stories. Maybe they could play games like “who craps in their pants first”.
If you get a chance dial in “Rumble” on Netflix. It’s pretty awesome, about the American Indian performers in rock n roll. I think you’ll both appreciate it. Will miss you during the break!
Caught up with the Steve Meyers Show today. Enjoyed Mark’s interview with Steve. In Mark’s Cool Stories about Tony Burroughs, Mark said that Tony met up with Elton John. Infact, Elton recorded a record called “Chartbusters Go Pop!”, a K-Tel type thing that is mostly awful. This was done to pay the rent, I’m sure. On this masterpiece, Elton covered “My Baby Loves Love” and “United We Stand”. Maybe they met during these sessions? Elton’s album with “Take Me to the Pilot” came out shortly after this.
Mark (hi Lyndia) you hit this problem needs to be over.
My comment is this must strike a nerve with you, thatโs how it should be for everyone. You never ๐ go political or even talk or fact of the day. We all need that break but to hear ๐ you voice your opinion. Thanks, no name and picture is how we try to be.
