Hey Mark, The Clare Tory story was so awesome and moving. I have always found that solo so poignant and touching. I’d never really thought about it but I just assumed that solo was performed by a black woman because of the range, emotion and feel. Interesting. I looked her up and she had a pretty decent career. I am glad she finally got the recognition she deeply deserves. It looks like she is still with us. You should put Rocket Bob on the hunt to see if she is willing to talk with you. I think it would be great, but please, don’t use the “daddy” line. I love Fridays. Thank you for that!
Interesting story regarding Clare Torry. Shame that it had to go lawsuit, you’d think Pink Floyd would have realized the fortune that album had brought in and thrown her a life changing bone! I’m glad to say anger was laid to rest and I was lucky enough to see Clare Torry perform Great Gig… with Roger Waters on his Radio KAOS tour of ’87 at Wembley Arena in London. I might add Jim Ladd was also on that tour playing “The D.J”
I always thought the worst interview you said you had was with Tina Louise. You and Brian wanted to talk about Gilligan’s Island and all she wanted to talk about was her parasol. Google her she has had a lot of work done on her face, looks bad not aging well. Would have banged Mary Ann Great shows Keep doing what you do
Mark,
You did it to me again. I was listening to the latest weeks show and when you mentioned that āBorn to Be Wildā only made it to #2, my brain immediately went into Markāmode ā the same way you always go digging for the followāup to a oneāhit wonder.
So of course I had to look it up. I couldnāt help myself. I kept thinking, what could possibly have been sitting at number one when āBorn to Be Wildā was stuck at two? That song feels like it shouldāve been welded to the top of the chart.
Do you know what was number one? āPeople Got to Be Freeā by The Rascals.
A perfectly fine song, sure ā but definitely one of those āproduct of its timeā records. Not exactly the track youād expect to be holding off a monster like Born to be wild.
Anyway, that little detour was entirely your fault, so I figured Iād report back. Your show always sends me down these musical side quests, and honestly, I love it.
Mark, you have no idea how great it was to find this pod cast, and hear your voice again. Been listening since the late 909mde so cal. Now Iām in oregon, Iām also a cigar smoker/ musician. And I have no idea why I mentioned that or where I was going with it. Damn, Iām only in my mid 40s. Anyway, itās refreshing listening to you. Iām missing a lot of my past and get real nostalgic sometimes and it is so comforting hearing you again.loving the show. And would love to hear you and Brian do a Cessna again. I donāt know why but that was one of the funniest damn things. Oh, and Brian attempting to drink a whole gallon of milk. The sound he made when it came back up was inhuman lmao. Thanks for all the laughs and just you doing what you do.
P.s. first time letting my kids hear the show today on the way to dinner, and the first thing they hear, is if we could put a water bottle in you butt!
The absolute best introduction of all time! You should have seen their faces lmao
Hey Mark, Van Pebble here pal…Miss ya every week till I hear the show…Loving you…Anyways, I wanted to share this with you and the people who read the comments…It’s Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley’s sons together as a band…They’re named Stanley Simmons…I kinda like it…
Hello RG,
Your ability to tell a story is unmatched, Thank you for sharing the Pink Floyd ( Great Gig / Clare Torry ) All the years Iāve listened to her I was in awe of the pipes she possessed, and now having history to tie it together is awesome. Look forward to each Friday to see what is next ,
Thank you

Hello Mark, Fuck dude, I can’t take this love you have for Foreigner’s “feels like the first time” any longer. I get it. They rescued DJ you from the hum drum, play it again “Beth or David Soul’s Don’t give up on us” those are real shit. But dude This rock classic love for that song is so junior high. I may get some smoke; I may be a rock snob (Rita was always right). In my expert listing experience You may want to try some Pink Floyd, Yes or ELO who killed it in the same era. Feels like the first time doesn’t measure up as a great song and I doubt the band got laid because of it!
It’s great to hear your voice each week. Your interviews, Cool stories and your opinion on those dumb people keep me listing, but I really love giving you crap and appreciate how real you are.

Hi Mark
I took daddies advice and bought the lubricating sheets on Amazon. They are working great. Soon I’ll use them in the shredder. Love the show

Mark is the Grim Reaper. Poor Chuck Norris never had a chance after getting the kiss of death.
Should we call him the GR instead of the RG?
Cigar store tickets?
