Hey RG,
Thought you might enjoy this, we have been renovating our home as well and had a new furnance and duct work installed, as the tin knockers we’re performing the demo of old duct we discovered a sales sheet from the local newspaper that was dated Dec. 21. 1965 the same year our home was built, the sales ads listed power tools from sears roebuck , table saw back then 129.00 dollars unbelievable that paper withstood the airflow thru the years.
We look forward to every Friday and get our fix of ( what you do ) just wonderful love all the historical facts

I just watched the group video on Uncle Joe Benson. This is exactly why you’re the R.G. Thank You, Mark, and keep on keeping on, You’re the best communicator of stories that I’ve ever heard. With all respect and love, Mike Monson.
What the hell is that Satonic Moaning & Chanting you have playing in the backround during the Pizza Kitchen story? You use it as backround every week and I Cringe! Hard to listen to the story cause I’m too distracted.
Hey RG
Just wanted to follow up on a request to have Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn on the show. I recently watched the movie Miracle in which Kurt portrays Coach Herb Brooks of the 1980 men’s US Olympic hockey team. This is a great flick for everyone to see. I’d love to hear him talk about the making of this movie. Congrats to the men’s and women’s Olympic hockey team this year.
Lastly, RIP Uncle Joe. I always looked forward to listening to the Seventh Day on Sunday nights.
Hey Skid Markey Mark ( as old as you are I am willing to bet Lynda would say that name has never been truer)
SRL number six here! I wanted to send a note to thank you for everything you do.
I’ve been a listener since the early Mark and Brian days in L.A., following you through the various affiliates, digital streaming, and eventually the final show. Since then, I’ve enjoyed Brian’s podcasts and all of your various projects as they’ve been released.
My job requires me to travel about 35,000 miles a year, and your shows are what keep me sane on the road. Quite a few years ago, I started listening to the archives of the M&B shows chronologically. Coincidentally, I reached the final show right when I was in Lake Norman on business. Now, I’m on my second go-around and am currently in 2008, right when Kellie Gates joined the family. Recently, I was driving through Nashville and caught her unmistakable voice on the local radio before I could even switch over to your stream. Would love to hear a conversation between you two with two old radio cats. Chance maybe making that happen for us all?
I also recently heard you retell the story about your early dating days with Lynda, specifically the fight where she threw a Coke at you. You know why you didn’t get a concussion, right? It was a “soft” drink.
( I know as Brian used to say a long way to hoe for that joke)
Anyway, keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you for all the years of laughs and entertainment.
So sad to hear of Uncle Joes passing. If I sit in a quite room or outside, close my eyes, I can hear his voice, loved him, not being gay or anything, but love you too, except for that “daddy” thing, turns me off, but cracks me up! Looking forward to meeting you at the Cigar shop.
I want to thank Eleni for the great job of setting up the SRL BFF pages. I look forward each week to seeing more pet photos being posted. If it was your idea Mark, kudos to you.
Woke up this morning to learn about the passing of Uncle Joe. So very sad. Mark, I hope you are taking care of yourself and if not that Miss Lynda is doing it. Peace and love ❤️ Mile Hi MeMe
Our local station here in rural NW Illinois carries Joe’s “Off the Record”. Joe recorded a station ID for them. I’ll still hear that voice. (And they still have live on-air DJ’s!)
