About 10 years ago, you did a cool stories in music on Nile Rogers. It gave me chills. Heās performing this summer at the Orange County fairgrounds. If you still have it somewhere in your files, I would be excited to hear it again.
Hi, Mark. I have two comments about last week’s podcast.
First, thank you for the Cool Stories segment about Clare Torrey. Between the brilliant writing–I hope you can find out who composed that so credit can be given where it is most certainly due–and your flawless narration, I truly believe this was the finest one ever. It brought tears to my eyes when you brought up the music (because I’m a big, fat pussy). Well done, RG.
Second, holy fuck, Mark! You just can’t help yourself, can you? You killed Chuck Norris! Now, I’m writing this on William Shatner’s 95th birthday. If he drops dead after you say his name, I’ll never forgive you. And keep Dick Van Dyke’s name out of your fucking mouth!
When you were talking about the house with no bedrooms, you said well what do you really do in a bedroom anyways⦠Nothing. Well some people make love in the bedroom, Mark⦠I knew it had been a while since you had some with all your daddy remarks! š
Dearest Mark. I just wanted to let you know that I was really disappointed when Lynda left the podcast. I had to go back and listen to Gary and Lisa in the morning on the way to work. Then the new podcast was on I was happy to hear your voice again. But to be honest. After about 5 episodes I stopped listening. The interviews started to suck. Iām glad you figured it out and have been listening again ever since. On another topic could that poop you find in your pockets be yours. You are 70 and forget things. Itās just easier to blame Walker. Loving you and Happy Anniversary
Hi Mark (RG) Great podcast. Just so you know, Sorry Chuck Norris had his birthday on 3/16/2026 and passed away on 3/19 at 86 Very sad š I belive he will R.I.P. I love you and your family including Walker ā¤ļø with all my heart. Later Bro.
Hi Mark. Iāve been listening to past episodes because I canāt bare to listen to all the garbage thatās happening in the world right now. I just listened to your story about Lionel Richie and Easy Like Sunday Morning. What a beautiful story. The way you tell it is so heartfelt and meaningful. It made me tear up. Thank you for bringing joy and light to my week and I hope you never stop recording. Iāve been listening to you since I was a teenagerā¦Iām 53 nowā¦and your voice is like an old friend. Thank you again. Also, fuck off. With love.
Long time, first time. listener #85. I love you, your family, your pets, really unlike any other relationship I can point to in my life. you have been a through line from age 15-present. Iām 52. we recently learned my wife Stefanie has breast cancer. her prognosis is great and surgery is scheduled. we are positive. Endless thanks for all you do. Really only my parents voice has been in my head longer.
I found it quite the coincidence that you joked last week about Chuck Norris dying when you really meant to wish him a happy birthday, and the episode aired on the day he really did leave us. I know Iām certainly not the only listener that made note of it. Great show once again, as always. I used to look forward to Friday because it was the end of the work week. Now I look forward to it just to hear your latest bullshit. You never cease to brighten my day. Thanks so much for what you do. It matters more than you know.

Mark, since your LA studio used to house a horse and you like animal sounds how about playing a sound effect of a horse neighing and groaning.
Alvin says
Well you’ve done it now. You killed off Chuck Norris. Alvin

Holy crap! Did you foresee Chuck Norrisās death?
