Writing
Mark’s Hobby Lobby
I don’t write nearly as much as I paint. I only seem to write when I feel I have something I want to express, and that doesn’t seem to come up that often. I love the process of writing but it’s the rewrite where I find the most joy. I seem to spend much more of my time fine tuning the piece than the initial draft itself. Since most of the stuff I write is nonprofit, it must be considered a hobby. I allow my writing to flow out as it comes to me without any concern for how it may be received. In that thought, I live by an old quote by “anonymous,” which states, “I want to sing like the bird sings, not caring whose listening, or what they think.”
