Mark and Lynda have you seen this show yet? https://www.hbo.com/painting-with-john
The title of the first episode, Bob Ross Was Wrong, roped me in.
We find it interesting as he paints a story with his words while
painting on a canvas as well. Check it out.
Mark, I have enjoyed your movie recommendations over the past couple of years, especially “The Vast of Night”. But now, I have a film recommendation for you… it’s called “In & Of Itself” on Hulu. As much as I’d like to give you a brief synopsis of the plot, I really can’t. Not only does it defy description, it is best viewed cold, going in with no expectations. I wouldn’t take you down a bad road. I think you and Lynda will love it. Looking forward to your opinion on it. Congrats on impending Grandpa-hood!
Hey Lynda and Mark
Don’t feel bad when you are establishing your Alpha status with Walker Bradley is correct! Walker is and will continue to test the boundaries until he learns what is acceptable and unacceptable It’s up to both of you to raise him the same way you did your two footeds Here’s a suggestion for Walker when he’s misbehaving Get a spray bottle filled with water and squirt him while making a “Shush” sound This technique works great for nuisance barking and or other disobedient behaviors At some point you should be able to just show him the bottle or make the shush sound and he will stop whatever it is he shouldn’t be doing Always say his name before giving him a command such as “Walker Sit” Stand up straight look him in the eye and use a firm voice Hope this is helpful with Walker’s development Lynda I have direct messaged you a couple of times on your Instagram with pics and vids of my fur kids I’m a dog sitter in CA and the Alpha of my pack Congrats to you both on becoming G’parents!!
I just finished watching a movie and Iâm sure you saw it since your friends with Kurt Russell but wanted to mention it anyway. It is called The Battered Bastards of Baseball and it is about Kurtâs dad, Bing Russell, and the story of his independent minor league baseball team. It was a really great story and they interviewed Kurt and all the key players that was involved. We loved it and wanted to let you know about it. Enjoy
Dear Lynda, RG, and Walker,
Recently our adult daughter Morgan (age 24) had to move back in with us do to a divorce and awaiting a hip replacement. Last week she had a car accident and totaled her car. She is ok, but her 2 miniture American Eskimo fur babies (1 was her service dog) were in the car and passed away. She is devastated and her dad and I are as well.
I have been home with her, and watching tv or listening to music ends up making things worse.
HOWEVER, I started playing your podcasts for her, and she has finally started to smile a bit.
Not trying to bring everyone down, just want to thank you guys for all you to to make our days brighter. If anyone gets it, I know you guys do.
I just came across a movie called Antebellum and am curious if Mark has seen it. Itâs a thriller that came out in September of last year with a completely timely metaphor. Itâs IMDB score is only 5.7 but if he hasnât seen it yet I hope that doesnât deter him from watching it. I would love to hear what he thinks of this movie.
On the Feb 12 show, Grampa brought up the band Badfinger. So here’s a short quiz for his elderly mind: The album “Straight Up” was recorderd for Apple. Which Beatle was the producer? A) John B) Pual C)George D) Ringo? (The answer is George). 2. On. the song “Day After Day” which other Beatle joins George on backup vocals A) John B) Paul C)ringo D) Yoko? (the answer is Paul). 2. What great piano man was brought in to play on “Day After Day” A( Elton John B) Billy Preston C) Leon Russell D) Little Richard? (the answer is Leon Russell) 4 When George left the production who was brought in to finish producing the record A) George Martin B) Phil Specter C) Todd Rundgren D) Jeff Lynne (the answer is Todd Rundgren). Congratulations on the grandbaby! It’s a joy to hear you every week.
Mark, I was a huge fan of âcool stories in musicâ the Sam Cooke episode was one I listened to several times. I found âSam Cooke Legendâ on Amazon Prime. It was a great look at the Samâs career. Not sure if you have seen it but is with a watch
