Finally received my hardback (probably got lost in the mail and the post office finally found it I guess). It did come very well packaged, no damage.
However on mine, a little more then half the book pages are coated on the edges with a gold like trim. My friends came in a light blue hard cover with no gold trim about six weeks ago (kinda weird and cool at the same time).
Mine is signed, and did include a “Book Mark”. My friends book did not, and we both ordered on the same day, about the same time.
I am a bit suspicious about the signature though, my book is signed “Mall 22”. Who is Mall?? lol
I love you guys. You have given us so much of yourselves from the M&B days to current. Sad to hear your winding things down but oh, so happy for you to spend time with those precious grandkids. You haven’t lived until you’ve gotten a phone call from one of them asking if you can come over and play. Or hearing that when asked who their best friend is, their response being ” Papa is my best friend”. The memories are endless and are burned indelibly into my being and I cherish each and every one. I wish that for you and more.
I’m glad to see you guys are back on the air podcasting! It is great fun listening to you and a wonderful distraction for the week! I am three quarters of the way through your book, Mark. ( See how I did that? )
As a listener who fit the demographic of being around 40 at the time with a family and a job and kids, I had no idea what you guys were going through to bring us the fun to each morning that you did! Screw Howard Stern! I never did like the guy and he should have stayed in his little basement at his mama’s house! You guys were and are the voices of our generation. I listen to The archives everyday now and get to relive all of the fun! Keep up the Great work! We are all of the same age and there is plenty of fun ahead! ( 1988 Donny Osmond singing to you in your B-Day! Awesome! )
I am in Simi Valley California and if you ever want to learn how to surf fish at the beach north of your normal roamings, just let me know!
I enjoyed your Bob Seger mini “cool-stories in music” on Friday. Speaking of Bob Seger, here’s a riddle for you, Mark. What is your grandson Milo’s favorite Bob Seger song? “Turn the page” (since that’s his favorite thing to do with books).
Love the show…Lynda you are awesome and I think you were extra-great on last weeks show, Mark you can eat my balls
Mark, I had dinner with David Crosby at The Forum Club back in 1987. My best friends dad was your manager for Bob Seger and gave us tickets. To keep us out of trouble, he set us up to have dinner before the show. Mark, I agree 110% with you! He was as you would say and from what I remember “A piece of work.”
Did like his music and I think the last years of his life he came to realize what he was to a lot of people. I’m curious to see the documentary “David Crosby – remember my name.” <—- fitting title!
Lynda, I know this will be read after the fact, but I had a boss tell me the easiest way to get out of jury duty is to say, you believe everyone charged with a crime is GUILTY!
Just don’t take it too far and be held in Contempt.
This is Carlos Vega. I sent you a comment about my book not signed. I just heard your show and looked on the second page and there it was. 1000 apologies. Please disregard my last last comment.
P.S.
I love your show 🤓
Listened to your 1.20.23 show and was curious why you didn’t talk about Lisa Maria Presley passing away. I would have thought there would have been some kind of comment from you RG.
I’ll say this that’s listener number 79 from day one I’ve enjoyed the hell out of this and of course the Mark and Brian show we all get older I’m a geezer too enjoy the grandkids it’s been fun take care
