Mark & Lynda, so you’re saying goodbye to the podcast. Well, may I just add a comment… good riddance. Mark, I listened to the KLOS radio show from Day One… and was a faithful listener only to be severely disappointed for over twenty five years. And when you moved to Lake Norman and started your podcast with Lynda… my disappointment grew. I never missed a single episode for eleven years. So, listen to me very carefully… I’m going to give you guys ONE MORE TRY to get it right. Okay?! (My future Fridays are gonna really suck)
Hi. Like most of your listeners I’ve been listening to Mark since I moved to CA in 1985. Loved when Lynda became the side kick, because it gave all of us more insight to the what she has to put up and what makes Mark tick.-LOL.
Thank you for sharing your lives with us and as someone else wrote; I feel like I’m part of your extended family. Will miss hearing you guys every week and Walker’s periodic barking. Which always cracked me up because his timing was spot on. But as you both have said “Life is constantly changing and we all have to keep moving forward.”
Take care, stay safe, and go to Italy…you’ll love it!
I want to thank you for all the laughs had over the years with you and Linda. You got me through some dark times. Thank you for that. You will be sorely missed, but enjoy those grandbabies. FYI November 14 was my 60th birthday I am old bitch.
Hey Lynda and Mark
Wanted to email you as this is way too long a comment but can’t find Lynda’s email add- Hubs and I have been listeners since the early M&B days…we feel like your extended family for sure…so much so that my husband had me retire early, pack up everything and leave So California and move to Lake Norman- yep. It’s your fault I’ve been in this redneck state with dreary weather and the worst drivers since 2019…still have my home in The OC and like you, go back and forth all the time. CLT to LAX on American Airlines as well. Like you, we’re big dog lovers and cried with you for JoJo, Elvis and Red. Few years back Lynda and I emailed each other about our labs (our yellow lab was Shelby), about our kids and why you decided to leave California. Even have Lynda a heads up when meeting Eleni’s Greek family for the first time! Lynda cautioned me how hard it is to leave the kids (ours is 25 now). She was right. We bought a lovely house on LKN – and have a pontoon to enjoy the lake. We’re in Sherrills Ford. My hubs told me the last podcast is December 1st. Kinda hit me today that we’ve been listening to all your shenanigan for ever 25 years! We’ve gone to a few M&B events back in the day – Disneyland Anaheim, Xmas show, Bongo at Morongo (Tom Arnold- Oy vey🙄) and even saw you and the fam at The OC Fair…have M&L t-shirts and mugs, Mark’s movies on dvd, some vintage KLOS stuff…just too many memories to mention…just want to say we’ll miss our Friday mornings with y’all (Southern has infected me) and wish you well with your family and grand babies in Cali…hubs thought he heard you say your selling your place here in NC ? Great, just great. Now he’ll want to move back to Cali 🙄 lol. Hope you’re here in NC for a bit next year – maybe we could meet up on the lake one day? Or plan one last NC listener appreciation get together! Safe travels- oh, and if you can use Checkpoint E at CLT and ask for our son Alex…tell him your friends of his folks and he’ll get you and Walker through no problem 😉
Hi Mark,
Thanks for everything. I’m glad you made a movie in Cleveland because I would have never met you and Lynda. Just know, if you’re speaking into a microphone, I’ll be listening.
Hello, I’ve been a long time listener. Got a little busy and stop listening for a bit. I know Danny left to peruse other things. But just wondering how he’s doing? Do you still keep in touch?
As I drive to work today listening to the November 10th show, I find myself with tears in my eyes as you talk about the end of your podcast. Made me remember listening to the last Mark & Brian show while my freshman daughter was having cheer squad photos taken. With tears streaming down my eyes listening to the show, she comes up to me and says “mom, the girls are asking if I’m crying because I made the squad?” She answered them…nope it’s Mark and Brian’s last day on the radio. 😄
Love you guys!!!
Enjoy your grand babies.
OMG. Get over it John! I don’t always agree with the masks but everyone has their right to their opinion. I’m kind of in the middle. Hang in there Mark & Lynda but I respect your decisions.
Hey M&L,
I’m already missing you ( or not missing you at all!)
Anyway, Mark I bet you remember when we met, although you wont remember me
I was a chef for a while and I fed you and Brian when you were “concerned on lookers” on Cheers. You have mentioned that event a few times in the past, so I hope you still remember it now, old man!
Also, just incase, I forgot to send in my B DAY which was 3/11!
Hi. A few weeks back when you had COVID you mentioned that Skylord gave you a recipe that really helped. Is there any way to share that? My wife, son and I all have COVID now. Thanks and at least I didn’t ask for Styx tickets!!
Mark – thank you for sharing your thoughts about assessing your friends and “Ghosting”. I knew the phrase, but never really applied it to me. Yet, as I’m preparing for retirement in 2 more months I started to look yat my pool of friends and started isolating myself from certain individuals (mostly co-workers). I do feel better after doing this and look forward to the next chapter of my life with my family and true friends.
