Good Monday morning. Is there a way to listen to past episodes of the M&L Podcase, or any of the other shows? If so, please let me know how. If not, well damn! That sucks.
The Mark and Brian show was such a huge part of my life for so long, it literally saved me from massive depression in my early 20’s. I eventually took a job in Belize, and made my brother record the shows and send me cassettes once a month, and I’d sit on my veranda, drinking Belizean rum, looking out at the Caribbean laughing my ass off, and feeling a little less homesick. Also, the Christmas and birthday shows were just awesome to attend and listen to, so unique. To this day, I still have my Mark & Brian Drink Putter Onners on my desk, love those things. Thanks for the book as well, so great to hear your voice again.
Hey there Thompson clan!
Mark , can’t wait for the new show. I’m writing to share the best shit I’ve ever heard. I’m listening to your audiobook Mark, for the second time.
Your quick story about Lynda cussing out the laborers that are listening to Howard Stern at your house is fucking GOLD!!!
That is all.
PS . I’m a lake Hickory man myself but I hear lake Norman is also a pretty piece.
I was coming on here listening to the Mark and Lynda podcast and I’m excited about your new show coming soon. But where can I find the M&L shows since they are no longer posted here
Mark should get Kevin Spacey On “What You Do”… I’d LOVE to hear his take on WHY some asshole can “Grab ’em by the Pussy” and become President But HE grabs some guy’s dick in a Gay Bar and just because he refuses to go on the usual “Apology Tour” on talk shows is Forever BANNED from Hollywood…It would make for an interesting answer to the question “What You DO”!!!
Interesting concept Doc. With that in mind, I would be all ears if Mark could ink a couple of shows after he interviews Kevin Spacey with Bill Cosby and OJ Simpson.
Hearing and understanding things from their perspective would make a for a very interesting podcast.
Having said all that, what would any of those folks gain by doing such a show with Mark?
Mark would make better use of his time and resources by getting Kurt Russell on the podcast.
I miss listening to the radio show on my way to work but love the fact we can still get a fix of the Thompson family when needed. Your kids are amazing, Lynda is amazing, (even Walker is amazing) I love all the stories you share and how candid you can be. I really do miss you guys!
Adventures of Mark and Brian. Fort Knox, KY 1991 – Basic Training: M1 Abrams Tank School.
They filmed part of that episode with our Basic Training unit in 1991 (A Co 2/13 AR BN)… we were in the morning Physical Training (PT) boot-camp segment.
…any idea where I can see that episode? I never did see the final product. (no luck with Google searches so far, lol).
It was my 29th birthday, in 1988. A friend of mine had taken me to lunch, and while we were eating a burger and probably drinking tequila, he asked me if I was listening to Mark and Brian?
I had not, but the next day I checked it out, and listened religiously from that point on.
I just finished reading “Don’t Bump the Record Kid”.
Thank you for reminding me of all the laughs I had while driving around in my car selling Yellow Page advertising.
While reading, I often found myself waxing nostalgic for those days of radio. However, in addition I was touched by the very personal experiences you shared, that listeners could not have been aware of.
I read a lot these days, having retired a few years ago. I started reading your book with low expectations. Thank goodness for the sample service on Kindle that instantly sucked me in. I was there for most of the stories that you shared, and was a part of a couple of Christmas shows, parades, and other events through the years (my ex wife flashed her gash at Mark during a show at The Sportsman’s Lodge back in the late 90s…repeat, my ex wife)
Early in our new century I switched careers as it became clear that my industry, much like radio was going away (when’s the last time you used the Yellow Pages?), and my job had me flying around outside of California for most of the week, so I missed most of the waning years of M&B. Although, when possible I listened right up until I turned on the radio one morning to hear these people named Heidi and Frank. That day may have been the last time I tuned to KLOS.
You are an exceptional narrator, and your book moved me in a way I hadn’t expected. THANK YOU
Thanks, Eleni…Good to know that the M&L Podcast Archives will soon be available again!
Now if you could just make the Website SECURE (i.e. “https”) then ALL of us who’ve sent you our Contact Information could Breathe a Sigh of Relief!

Whoah Nelly there, Troy!
Do NOT put Kevin Space in the same CATEGORY as O.J. Simpson or Bill Cosby!!!
Just Sayin’…
Troy says
Actually, I’m not. You just did.
What I said was, it would be interesting to hear an interview from their perspective on events.
However, there is something all 3 do share in common. They are predators.

I’m so lost without M&L! What’s new with the family? Any new babies coming? Is there a place to go to to get updates or is it just this .com?
