wow! Mark, seriously, what a great interview last week with Darren!!! I listen to Smartness and other podcasts and that was truly an hour of gold that was so outstanding and way better than any of the star-studded interviews I have heard in a long time! On a side note, one of the podcasts I listen to is Morbid and one of the hosts on there has a voice who reminds me so much of Katie – and the cussing while they talk about ghosts is entertaining! Is Katie still using her lovely voice someplace? Congrats on the grandkids!!! I know you have your hands full with all of the grands, but if you have downtime you should check out your old Alabama stomping grounds on the basketball court – Auburn is #1 and Alabama has been up there, too!!! War Damn Eagle!! Love you and miss your bride. Please get laid so you can stop with all the “daddy” perv-y comments. Cindi in Dana Point
Ok Mark two things….the Darren Hayes interview was everything! I laughed, I cried…SO compelling!!! I was not a fan but I am now! What an exceptional human being! Two…if i took a drink every time you posted something in today’s show I’d be drunk! We love that old radio dog shit!!!! đđđ
Well done on sharing the beautiful spirit and talent in Darren Hayes. Iâm sure all those SavageGarden haters have changed their tune! What an authentic, touching, and unexpectedly hilarious interview. Thanks to both Mark and Darren for the so very fantastic podcast episode.
Mark! Just finished the awesome interview with Darren Hayes. What an outstanding talent and story. You’re such a great interviewer and have a great knack for pulling the real out of people. Enjoy all of your interviews and though I miss Lynda, this chapter has been a pleasure to listen to each and every week!
Quick question, how did you resolve your E-mail problem.
A friend of my is having the same problem and wanted to know you did it.
Always a great show, keep on, keeping on.

Hey Mark. Hooty-hoo, eat my balls and all that. Recently saw your buddy John Wait live in Cerritos. What a great show. He told a couple of stories but never made mention of having dinner with you and you pooping your pants. Too bad. Would love to hear the story from his perspective. If you and I were having dinner and you pooped your pants, I would tell that story to everyone with a set of ears for as long as lived. I think John missed a real opportunity to connect with the crowd. Anywho thanks for being part of my life for the past 35 years (started listening to MnB when I moved to Ca in ’90. Even worked on your TV show for a week before being let go over some day old bagels) Cheers, pig fucker!
40 year listener. My wife was in the freak of nature pit back in the days of the Hollywood drive ins, plus we met you and the family at Orange Country Fair, Assassins Code premier, and at the Savan Theater. You are truly the RG. I have a short video of my son’s baby pig chowing down. It is perfect for your love of animals eating. How do I get it to you?
Hey Mark! Heard you play âMellow Yellowâ by Donavon! Donât know if you know it but when he sings the line âThey call me Mellow Yellowâ there is a whispering voice that says âThatâs Rightâ! Thatâs Paul McCartney!!
Hey Mark, I have always loved “What Year is it?” I am proud to say that I actually got two right over the last two weeks! I have a huge pet peeve with people who don’t acknowledge you when you do something nice, like holding open a door. When I was in the Navy and living in San Diego I was walking into a 7-11 and held the door open for a tall pretty blond. She sauntered in and said nothing. I was so sick and tired of self-absorbed SoCal women. I was in uniform and armed. I pulled out my 45, I did not raise it from beside my leg, and started yelling at her about what a Fucking, self-absorbed…. You can guess the rest of that sentence. Two of my friends grabbed me and told me that we were leaving. Thank goodness for friends. I would not have done anything, but it would have been fun to scare the shit out of her. Thank you for What You Do Mark!
Cray cray Craig đł. I have to say in the last 2 days Iâve had 2 gentleman hold the door for me and I made sure to thank them- their mamas raised them right.
MiMi, I was (and still am) one of those “raised right” boys who will hold the door for just about anyone (male or female). One bonus thing I learned as I got older that my mama didn’t pass on? In the case of attractive females, I get a great look at that ass after you walk in đ
This week youâve managed to sow some discord around the olâ Jones household. My poor wife put up with it for as long as she could stand it, but today she said âSTOP REFERRING TO YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON AND FOR CHRISTâS SAKE, STOP CALLING YOURSELF DADDY. ITâS CREEPING ME THE FUCK OUT!
Thanks for what you do, man. We all appreciate you more than you will ever know.
First, congrats on the new grand baby! Second, glad to hear that Eleni is on the mend after the her post-birth health scare. At the age of 33 my wife had a similar situation happen to her after our son was born. Less than 24 hrs after leaving the hospital she was readmitted with the similar symptoms. After running several tests it was determined that she had severely high blood pressure caused by a mixture of postpartum complications as well as a tennis ball size cancerous tumor that was growing around the arteries and vessels leading out of her heart.
Iâm not leaving this comment to scare, but to say Iâm glad Eleni listened to her body, got checked out, and is on the mend. People will ignore their bodies when they donât feel ânormal,â but should listen instead and make sure they speak to their doctor whenever something feels off.
Luckily, after going through chemo treatments, my wife is almost 6 years cancer free! Additionally, our son, though slightly crazy, has been healthy and turns 7 this summer. Due to the aggressiveness of her cancer, we firmly believe that it may not have been caught in time if not for the timing of our sonâs birth.
Anyway, hope Eleniâs health continues to improve! Thank you for all the laughs since I was a kid!
Mark i have asthma so i can relate to what Lynda is going through. I think you’re absolutely right in that the construction going on caused it. 50 year old walls have to have some mold or other toxic substances going on. Hope she’s doing well! Oh! And yeah….. Stop the daddy thing you creeper! đ
