Song I am embarrassed to like.
Being a person born in the early 60’s, the first album I ever bought was the Grand Funk Album (Red Album Cover) when I was 12.
I love the Meghan Trainor song, “All About that Bass”.
It is a perfect fluff song.

Hi Mark! I listened to the debut episode of this podcast while I was traveling in Japan last year. On Sunday, I’m going to Italy. I’m planning on listening to this week’s episode on my flight across the Atlantic, and I’ll be listening to next week’s podcast on my flight back. If you’ve got shit you’ve been meaning to cram in but haven’t had the time, can you do it this week and next week? Those are some long ass flights, and I could use the extra content. Thank you for What You Do.

Hey, it’s Fuckin’ Craig. Penguin Lessons was a great suggestion. Thank You. I watch everything you suggest. Except horror, because I am a pussy. I am finishing making lunch on Saturday morning, finishing up Friday’s pod when you shared the email from Aries owner. I am sobbing. I can’t cut the tomatoes because I am likely to chop off a finger because I can’t see a damn thing through the tears. I am grateful that you shared that email. It reminds me of the love for my friend that I said goodbye to a couple of years ago. You and Lynda have shown us the way to say goodbye to our most loved guides in this world, and I am so very thankful for your example. I think I heard this from you. “Grief is just love that can’t find a place to be.”

So after listening to your interview with Noah Wiley, I am now hooked on The Pitt. But one thing I wonder, since the show is based in the ER, how come no one is wearing a mask? Is it because they would not be heard well while filming? Thinking of the one character who seems to always get splattered on a regular basis with food or bodily fluids and not wearing a mask…just makes me cringe, but I guess that’s how good the show is. And yours too of course.

Love your show. The comment you made about who needs giant trucks? Well, apparently my granddaughter does. 17 year old Sadie just started her senior in high school and sports a giant chevy long bed with a lift kit, huge tires and the script “Moonshine Baby” across the back window. She bought the truck herself and she and her Dad customized it together.

Love you and all you do,

    Wes

    Hey Mark

We recently watched a documentary on Netflix called Sunday Best: The Untold Story of Ed Sullivan. I think you’d really enjoy it. As a kid we watched Ed Sullivan every Sunday evening as did most Americans back in the 60s when he was averaging 50 to 75 million viewers every week. Most are familiar with the Ed Sullivan show and the appearances of Elvis and the Beatles, but I’d bet most are not aware of how influential he was in promoting Black entertainers at a time when segregation was very strong, especially in the South. He was very progressive in his support of Black artists. Also the initial TV performances of a 15 year old little Stevie Wonder, Harry Belafonte, Jackson Five, Nat King Cole, etc. are amazing. Definitely worth a watch. Am now very impressed with Ed Sullivan the man and all he did to promote civil rights for all Americans.

Mark was confused about the What You Do theme song, because he didn’t understand why the singer didn’t know what someone did to them and they wanna know…Mark’s question was, “Why don’t you know?”…Can we ask Mathew what he does? I assume he’s the one doing it…Okay, bye…

Mark, I have been listening since 1994. I had a long commute to work and you and Brian made it much more enjoyable. I always noticed that you laughed at Brian’s witty remarks, but he rarely laughed at yours. I always thought you were a funny guy and I laughed at your shenanigans while driving my car. I admit that I USED to think that Brian was more talented , but since I’ve been listening to your podcast for years I have come to the conclusion that YOU are the talented one. I listen to many podcasts, but yours is head and shoulders above them all. Your content is A-1

    Hey R.G

Just listened to your Woody show from 8/8. I have a few questions. Is Sammy still hot as she was on M and B? For some reason I though she got engaged when she worked on Mark and Brian. Did she ever marry? And are Gina’s boobs still as big as you remember from Mark in the Morning? Daddy wants to know

    Talk to you soon
