Use this page to say hey, ask a question (which probably won’t get answered), or just to kiss the RG’s ass.

Hey Mark, Vince here (number 1) that song by the kids was fun. I am not here for that. You missed my 63rd birthday on June 12th Beotch. I didn’t add it to the birthday section because I was positive you have it saved in your phone. To make it up to me Let’s get Rocket Bob to set up an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yes, it’s a big ask but you’re the RG and your people know you can do this. Arnold is more than body builder, Actor, Politician. He seems that he is into giving back and spreading the word on motivation and success secrets at this stage in his life. Plus, I will add your Interview skills are awesome. I believe He would be fun, informative and More down to earth than people think. I will be waiting for my present (interview). You can keep the Styx tickets.

    Hey there Mark,
You and Linda made the ultimate gesture of love to your children by updating your will and trust. Consider this your PSA of the week: my parents were 17 years difference in age. Because of this, assumptions were made that my mother would outlive my father, and plans were made accordingly. A very long story short, my mother developed leukemia in 2020, which resulted in eventual complications from her bone marrow transplant. As her health deteriorated, In early 2024 I advocated to be a coexecutor of my parents’ estate. With his age (84) and her declining health (67), I wanted to make sure that I had access to their finances in the case that my father outlive my mother, develop dementia and my mom wasn’t around to pay bills, and who knows what kind of care he would need. Or at that point in time, perhaps his age would lead to a loss of him before her. You just never know what can happen at any time. Someone had to be given legal access to funds to pay for eventual caregiving of one of them. As unromantic and scary as it all is to imagine life without our loved ones, as I’m sure you, Mark, have learned, there are so many things to go through in the passing of someone. It’s an industry. When as much planning as possible can be done ahead of time, it gives space for everyone else to grieve. My father did outlive my mother, as she passed away in April 2024 and my dad is now a widower at 86. Because of the arrangements made years ago and updated with me, the transactional logistics were less of a hassle, and we were more able to grieve the loss of her together.

I say all this not having made a trust for my own kids: well I better shut up and get to it, then!

Hey mark! Serious question about who you might consider interviewing: would you ever be open to interview Rick Deez (and if he would agree to it too)? It would be amazing to hear the radio war stories between you two and if you’re on good terms with each other. Love the show!

Mark, Hi man…Last week you said you were doing the unfathomable, which is preparing for your death by finalizing the Will…I thought maybe you could be inspired to compose a list of your personal favorite songs you want played at your funeral. God this is depressing…Luv ya as always…Van Pebble

Actually I included a QR code on my mom’s funeral card of a playlist of her favorite songs. Many attendants of the service have saved it and told me how much they love to listen to it and think of her. It’s a perfect way to connect with our loved ones!

Hey Mark, just got done watching one of my favorite movies “That Thing You Do” parts of which were shot in my hometown of Orange. Realized I’ve never heard you mention this movie. Have you watched it? This movie takes place during your radio days right? Is it accurate in its portrayal of promoting of a song during that time? Thanks for the weekly entertainment.

Mark this is Debbie Benson, yes, THAT Debbie Benson who hates “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. I say that loud and clear my friend even though ever since your Podcast I have become a pariah in my own neighborhood. I can’t go to my local supermarket or CVS because everyone points at me and says “she’s the one who hates Whitney Houston!” My friends and family want nothing to do with me. My life is over I will have to move to Florida where no one listens to your Podcast.

Hey Mark – listener 33 here, I want to say October of 87. Any how, you used to have a recording of Matt on drums and Katie (I think) singing. I think the song title is “oh baby baby”. Do you still have the recording? Do you mind playing it?

Great show this week but I do have a question for you. When you went to Jiffy Lube, did you have your fire coat on? I only ask because you said “And I observed them quietly and from afar.” 🤣

Yeah, that Christmas story that your family performed still gives me a chuckle when I see or read afar.
