I had to stop the show. You have never seen an episode of Miami Vice? Boy are you in for a treat! F. U. wish I could go back and do it the first time. Love to you and the family!
OMG Mark, the section on Handel’s ice cream was masterfully “posted” by you on the most recent episode… when you talked about the ice cream it hit all the correct parts with your background music. I don’t think it could have been better matched, but hey, that’s why you are called the RG.
Loving you and your show. Commenting on the free speech topic you opened with regarding jimmy kimball. In the United States each and everyone of us is protected by the free speech in the first amendment. Jimmy was not thrown in jail or was even threatened with that. He broke no law. However there are consequences for things we might say. Years ago I remember when you and Brian were suspended for one week because of something you guys did on the air. Hitting golf balls in your bosses office or taking a cow in there I can’t remember. I was in high school when that happened. You were not thrown in jail. However your employer had the freedom to act on your actions. So yes kimball was and is protected by free speech. Some countries don’t have this luxury. Love your show keep doing what you do.
Happy Recording Day! I am looking forward to getting an update on your remote mic set up. Because that might lead to a candid conversation with Tom Bergeron. I have never watched anything, “Dancing with…” But I so enjoyed your conversation between two radio icons! Thank you for what You Do!
Thanks for the last two numbers of your address All I needed was the 71 Now I have all five number to your address. I just have one question what are the first three numbers and your street name and if its a gated community the gate code please
My Dearest Lamar,
I might get a lot of hate for this but I gotta say it – listening to Lynda in the opener creeps me out like your Daddy stuff – don’t get me wrong, I love Lynda and she’s a Grandma but it does have that effect on me
and
when you first started the trombone birthday I thought you’d keep it true to Lynda’s chicken – you know, the birthday song with the trombone but hey you’re the Old Radio Dog and you know best – I remember the episode where Lynda was doing different versions
Thanks For What YOU Do – Love ya Angel (a dude)
Mark, I just wanted to say how much I appreciated your tribute to Robert Redford. My dad passed away a year and a half ago. Whenever I visited him, we always ended up watching The Natural and A River Runs Through It. They were two of his favorite movies and two of mine. He chose to have his ashes spread right near where A River Runs Through It was filmed. I haven’t been able to watch either of these two movies since he passed away. When you ended the show on Friday, playing that classic ending scene from A River Runs Through It when Robert Redford gave that classic yet somewhat haunting narration, it brought me to tears. I must have replayed it 20 times. Though it made for a difficult couple of days, I feel like I’m ready to watch these movies again. Thank you!
A few weeks back I recommended the Matthew Modine movie “Hard Miles.” To which you replied, “Remind me!”
Well, my 9 year old son Robert was listening that day and has been reminding me weekly to remind you!
Before anyone starts up, my son doesn’t understand half the content or jokes. But he does love listening to “That old guy named Daddy!” (True story!)
So, please, watch the movie so he’ll stop bugging me! And not that I ever want to hear a kid segment ever again, could you give Robert a shout out? He’s get a kick out of that!
Scott Hansen never said 7 hours of commercial free football … he said 7 hours of nonstop football. Now he says 7 hours of red zone football. There are NO actual commercial breaks (yet) in first 3 weeks. It is banner ads that surround the live video. Which NFL and other sports been doing for a long time.
I’m sure there will be actual commercials eventually because greed always wins, but you’re reporting was a little off for what it is this year.
Hey Mark,
I don’t usually watch dramas, but I started watching Adolescent. Damn! I’m only halfway through episode 2. Did you know they filmed each entire episode in one shot? https://youtu.be/FZfb7liTeUw?feature=shared
Thanks for the birthday bone last week. I needed that. Tits might be sagging, but the humor is still there! Thanks for doin what ya do! Missing Lynda!
Crazy how you mentioned there was a story about a pilot taking a nap while the plane was on autopilot…now people magazine has a story about an Air Corsica plane was forced to circle the airport for an hour because an air traffic controller fell asleep! Not the same as a pilot but quite dangerous! Yikes!
