Use this page to say hey, ask a question (which probably won’t get answered), or just to kiss the RG’s ass.

Hey Mark, I have a radio question since, y’know, you’re the radio god. Radio edits for songs (or why do song singles sometimes differ from the album). When did this start happening? And not for song content to make things FCC friendly, but for time? For example, Boston’s “More Than A Feeling” in 1976. The single (or radio edit) is 3m35s, but the album cut is 4m45s. There’s a whole verse left off the cut version. It’s not Bohemian Rhapsody! But did radio stations have that much influence to force bands to cut their original songs down for time? For what purpose? Was it a contractual thing? And what was that magic length for a song? Just something random that popped into my head and thought I’d ask the guy was probably standing next to Marconi when he invented radio. Anyways, thanks for your answer in advance. And say Hi to Miss Thing!

    Hi Mark!

For your consideration, I have a simple sound effect request, if you could possibly be so kind. Please, please, please purchase an additional Airplane sound effect that is the audio of an actual JET PLANE. I simply cannot anymore with the small, twin-engine propeller plane audio clip that you use ad-nauseum for each and every story involving planes, nearly all of which involve commercial airlines 😀 While this was indeed a hilarious audio gag that was used throughout the comedy movie classic, Airplane, I fear that my sanity remains in the balance with this issue lol

Forever yours in humble, stupid, replaceable listenership,
    Chris

Mark I cannot believe all the shit you are getting for expressing you opinion on Jimmy Kimmel and free speech. Kimmel made a comment about the MAGA people, and they went batshit crazy. But the Maga group can say “I hope that black pilot has the intelligence to fly this plane” or let’s raise the bail money to the guy who beat Poulios husband. Finally, I want a president who is focused on running our country and not playing with a computer on the internet. I appreciate the work that you do.

I’m listening to an old show from June and I agree with Debbie regarding the Whitney Houston song, I Will Always Love You. I don’t like it at all, tired of it!

Hello Mark. Listener since 1987. Now listening back home in England, although just on episode 39.
So many great memories. You used to have an engineer nicknamed Mule Dick. He had a song. Something about “rolling along like a big one-eyed worm”. Always cracked me up in the morning commute.
We went to your opening of Toon Town at Disneyland. Our two year old son loved Linda. She was making him smile so much. Now he’s a 33 year old fat fuck.
Thank you for “what you do”. You get many of us through some bad times. My Californian wife, Cheryl, has just had a mastectomy. It’s been tough. She will be okay. Your shenanigans help me every morning and evening.
    Argar Largar.

I love your podcast and been a fan for almost 30 years, but I can’t stand when radical liberal views come out. Charlie Kirk gets assassinated in public, brutally shot in the neck in front of thousands of people millions more watching on video and you don’t say a word. But one of your liberal buddies gets taken off the air for three days and you go on a 20-minute rant. So dumb…if you’re not going to have some balance when discussing current events maybe don’t discuss them. Or…I will be forced to revoke my subscription to the podcast and you won’t get my money (haha).

    Hi Mark,
I was wondering when you and Brian were employees of Disney did you ever get in trouble or were “censored” by the Mouse?
    Keep up the good work!

Your review of Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue was spot on. For me especially because I work for Jimmy. I was told to stay home on the Thursday after we were let go not knowing what was going to happen. Information from production was minimal. To ease my mind from worrying about my future, I listened to your podcast. Because you recorded it before the suspension the podcast was a welcome relief from everyone talking about our fate through speculation. I’m currently in Brooklyn with Jimmy on a lunch break listening. Everything is back to normal… for now and your shows account of our situation makes me realize how lucky I am to be an American and how I can turn on a show and listen to people who make me laugh and release the tension of everyday life. Keep it up. And when you’re not doing that, EAT MY BALLS!

Hi Mark! I love this show! I hate to ask, ’cause I’m sure you’re tired of hearing it, but I do wonder how Brian is, and what he’s doing. The 2 of you were awesome on 9/11. Anyway, Andrew Fraknois is on Facebook! I’m sure he would be thrilled to hear from you! Best to you and family!

    Hi Mark,
Long time follower. Agree with free speech debate. However, the liberal media made way more of Jimmy missing a few shows than Charlie being assassinated for talking. And I was bothered by you saying Jimmy’s comment was a joke. It wasn’t funny. You wouldn’t have laughed if this had happened in your family.
Thanks for giving me the freedom to disagree with you. Thats what Charlie preached. XO

Charlie Kirk’s death, Gina Cerano, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, All conservatives in the last 9 years….they have all been silenced by the so called “left” and I’ve never heard you mention any of that censorship. They all warranted you pulling out your pocket constitution for a quote.

Jimmy Kimmel was fired because he’s not funny, he’s a liar, and his show is costing the network way more than it brings in. Same with Colbert. That’s why they were both fired.

I listen to your show for entertainment to get away from the left/right BS because you’re usually not political. But now that your showing your true colors of what you believe in, I won’t be listening anymore. My views and beliefs definitely don’t line up with Jimmy Kimmel or any of the Hollywood sellouts. And don’t say that your backing free speech, you’re clearly backing Kimmel.

Ending your show with Paul Harvey talking about how the globalist left and right destroy this country was an odd touch. That means you’re aware of what they are doing, but you still pick one of the sides. Uh, okay.

And by the way, we are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic.

    Happy Retirement, “Radio God”

All of those people that you mentioned have said way worse than what Kimmel had said. Kimmel did not go on a podcast and say racist bullshit like Kirk and Carlson.

Mark, love you and your comedy, but I’ve always been troubled by your worldview. You went radio silent on Charlie Kirk’s assassination, yet show crybaby outrage when a celebrity gets suspended. That says everything about your priorities — ignoring real tragedy while melting down over a slap on the wrist. Kimmel’s situation was not censorship. People like me were deeply offended when he mocked the death of Charlie Kirk. It was disgusting and un-American. What happened to him wasn’t censorship, it was consequences.

All that Kimmel said was that the shooter was one of them MAGA. He did not joke about the murder of Kirk.
