A question: do you get residuals when Reba episodes are shown on tv? Just curious as I was shocked reading an article recently about how little money some actors were getting even though shows they were on were getting heavy rotation on the tv.

    Hello Mark,
Just wanted to say thank you. I really enjoy hearing about your relationships with your family, friends and colleagues. The people portion of what you do is so genuine. You sharing real life experiences, with a sense of vulnerability, gives a real look at what life is about. I’ve always appreciated that. Thank you.

    Tom

    Hello,
Lisa from Portland here, I know last week there was a comment to do a segment on songs we are embarrassed to say we like. I know you said you were going to do that so I wanted to put in my song now because I just came up in a conversation I was having with a co worker. My song I am embarrassed to say I like because it is kinda awful. The song is the theme song from a movie called Same Time Next Year with Alan Alda from 1978, the song is called ” The Last Time I Felt Like This” by Johnny Mathis and Jane Olivor. I cant explain why I love it, I just do, it is sweet and sappy.

Mark, loved the interview with Tom Bergeron but had a hard time hearing him and in this week in history you left off Disneyland opening up in 1955. WTF and you were an employee. Come on bitch you can do better. Family four pack?

Hello RG! Permission to enter. As a long time listener (since 1989) and massive love and respect I have to express my concern over these recent falls of yours. I am 57 and my doctor told me few years ago to do balance exercises and yoga. Have you considered these type of exercises? As we age mobility, stretching and balance exercises are part of key to longevity, good mobility and protection to bones as we age as risk of falls increase.
I know I’m just another TRL but I’ve been a listener for over 35 years and I need you around for another 35 years. 😉 Much love and concern, Nurse Linda from Pico.

I enjoyed your interview with Tom Bergeron. I love his sense of humor. I watched Dancing with Sharks. It sure isn’t what you normally see for Shark Week. Who knew someone could be that close to sharks and not be bitten? It was entertaining but I’m not sure I will watch it again, except to see Tom.

He now faces multiple charges for aggravated assault

A Florida man was arrested last week after he allegedly tried to run over a group of kids with his car after they “ding-dong ditched” his home.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office records reviewed by PEOPLE show that John P. Albanos was arrested on July 12 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with the intent to commit a felony.

Albanos, 51, was released on bond the next day and is due back in court in early August, records show. A spokesperson for the Naples Police Department did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment Thursday on Albanos’ arrest.

According to the local Gulf Coast News, the 51-year-old man was at his home in Naples, Fla., when three kids approached his home, rang the doorbell, and ran away. The outlet, citing a police report, reported that the kids were riding on scooters and had played the prank on multiple homes along the block of 28th Ave. in town.

Albanos did not take kindly to the prank, according to the Gulf Coast News, which reported that police allege he grew angry with the kids, got in his car, and began to chase them down the street as they ran away.

Eventually, according to the news outlet, the kids ran into a neighboring yard to avoid getting hit by Albanos and a neighbor who witnessed the incident called 911 after trying to steer Albanos’ attention away from the children.

You mentioned the return of Coke Classic on This Day in History. I normally don’t buy into conspiracy theories but one I firmly believe in is that New Coke was planned to fail so CocaCola could change the original recipe from cane sugar to High Fructose Corn Syrup. People would have noticed if they just changed it out of nowhere. Replacing the classic recipe with a subpar product gave us enough of a distraction and pause from the original recipe that people didn’t notice the difference when it returned. And it was close enough that people were just related to have it back.

Anyway, just thought I’d share and maybe you’ll share your thoughts on a future episode. Styx tickets??
