Hi RG, a. K a. , G. O A. T. ,Saw your buddy John Waite Sunday night at the Hollywood Bowl, for the I want my 80’s Tour, did you? He rocked!! it would be awesome to have him on the show, speaking of the show, would be great to have Cody Decker on to find out what he’s been up to as well.
What’s the latest on the Eastwood Ranch Funzone Event?
Did you ever get around to watching BRATS? Love to hear your take on it.
Mark, thank you for all you’ve done all these years, your Podcasts have kept us entertained. M&B helped me get through my morning commutes.
Hey Mark, This is just a note to you, but feel free to share it. I went and saw Superman. I trust all of your movie reviews. As I was walking through in the parking lot after I realized that you did not share the spoiler. You Are The Best! Happy Wednesday.

Mark, Thank you for the memories and for your interviews. And for rocket Bob, please don’t give up on trying to get Noah for the show. Love to everyone
You talked about two things that generated immediate memories for me. One, the first steps on the moon. I was mesmerized by the whole thing! Two, color TV. I remember running home after school with a few of my friends to catch the first Lost in Space episode in Living Color. Turned on the TV and it was still black and white. I yelled at my mom that the TV was broken. She informed me that you need a color TV to get anything in color. We were all crestfallen…. It took years for my father to actually buy one. Thank you for bringing up that painful memory.
Thank you for what YOU Do! Fuckin’ Craig
First, thank you for taking the time to address the passing of Ozzy! I wasn’t a huge fan but growing up there were 2 bands my 3 older brothers got me into… KISS and Black Sabbath!
Second, title this “Shit you probably don’t remember, and I’ll never forget! I mentioned a few weeks ago about cooking the hotdog with a car battery. (And I have to mention you got my last name right pronounced like “Hi – EL” but over the decades I answer to anything!
Back in 2008 the band Shinedown released a song called “Second Chance” it was their biggest hit, and I remember you playing it on M&B and commenting how it was a great rock / pop single.
Well, 3 years ago I took my then 9 year old daughter to see Shinedown for her first concert, 3 years later and my whole family is obsessed! Going to see them August 3rd at the Forum. I mention all this Mark because you have impressed me more and more lately with your words about doing better! Shinedown exemplifies that! Take a listen to the song “A Symptom of being human” or their recent single “365” guaranteed to bring up some emotions my friend!
And about doing better I can’t tell you my job but I teach a class for troubled youth and I know this was a Brian saying, but the last words I tell the class are “Be good humans!”
Thank you for getting better with age! Even if Daddy is creepy and you pee in a hose through a wall! Seriously, that’s why we listen and love you!
Good Afternoon Mark,
You have really brought me a lot of laughs with your podcasts! I absolutely love your movie recommendations (The Pitt, Better Man and the new Superman). I would like to give you a couple back: “Stick” staring Owen Wilson (it’s a golf sport comedy) and “Shrinking” staring Harrison Ford (dark humor comedy about going to seeing your Shrink/Therapist) both of these shows make me literally laugh out loud, I hope you enjoy them too. God bless you and the family.
Howdy, Mark! Thank you so much for the memories regarding Kevin Gilbert. I join the myriad Mark and Brian fans who fell in love with toy matinee, and Kevin Gilbert thanks to the Mark and Brian Program.
Somewhere in the depths of my archives, I have a cassette tape of him on the show promoting “Thud.“ I will.digitize it shortly and would love to send it to you. Please let me know how to do that.
Hey Mark – I am way behind on episodes. I just finished Ep 13. I loved it. Matthew and Eleni and the news about your upcoming grandchild which he has probably been born by now. Hopefully an easy birth and healthy baby. Even though I disagree with your politics I loved how you handled the negative comments you received. With dignity and respect. You are right everyone is free to give their opinion but with respect to others. There is no room for hate. I’d like to say just a few things about President Trump. He loves our country. He keeps every promise he makes (when does a politician do that?) and no one hears about stories of his kindness. For example did you know…that when Donald was in school (it was elementary) a classmate of his lost his dad. Donald’s father paid for this classmate and his brother’s schooling. The man who shared this story said the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Also, he was in the back of the limo one time going somewhere in NY and someone on the side of the road had car trouble or a flat. He had the driver pull over and paid to have the car fixed or the tire changed. Sorry I’m old like you and can’t remember verbatim! Another story of him paying for the mortgage of a hotel worker. No one ever hears these stories? Why? Anyways…I put up with your cussing. You are like a bad habit you can’t break. UGH..I love your stories, they are the best part of your show. Never change that part! Love you faults and all (we all have them!). Say hey to Linda.
EP50. Hello From Albuquerque. Loving your continued commitment to providing entertainment. It is greatly appreciated. In this episode you made some kind of comment about Mark and Brian having an origin story that started in New Mexico. I have not heard that comment before. What was the Genesis of Mark and Brian and what is the New Mexico connection? Pretty please. And thank you.
