Hey Mark,
Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy your 70’s as much as your 60’s. I saw you got to go bowling with family with your name in lights, lol.
Love the show and you!
Hi Mark! Happy Birthday to You! I hope you had a great birthday celebrating with your family! Since you’re old as fuck, I see that you needed the Velcro strap bowling shoes for your birthday party. Did you use the bowling ball ramp for your turn too? Missed hearing your show last week, but I guess even senior citizens deserve some time off before they hit the retirement home… Happy Birthday Buddy! From your favorite youngest listener.
It’s Alright is, in fact, a great song, but there is no triangle in the song. That’s a set of orchestra bells. That’s why they change pitch in the solo during the bridge.
Also, a key change, or modulation, is not “taking it up an octave”. That would just be singing higher on the scale, but in the same key. I’m sure Eleni has a keyboard and can show you the difference.
Hey RG, wishing you and the Thompson Family a very happy Thanksgiving. Since you like to share suggested series/movies to watch, check out The Beast In Me,, starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys. Really think this will make a great watch.
Hi Eleni, Mark and I have the same birthday. I had Mike Dawson, announcer for the Adam Coralla show, Mark has met him a couple of times that I know of, make me a Cocktail Birthday Party. He covers all the big names that were born on our birthday. Of course, Mark is mentioned. I thought he might enjoy it. How can I get it to you to preview?
Just an idea for cool stories. I have heard that Steve Miller’s father was good friends with Les Paul and that Les Paul was actually Steve’s god father. What better guitar teacher/mentor than the man who literally invented the electric guitar. Goes a long way to explaining Steve’s success.
Hi RG, Just wanted to check in. As always, great podcast. I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ll listen next month. Give my love to all. Later brother.
Loving the show As always. I have been listening to you since I was in the 7th grade. Now I have 4 kids and am expecting my first grandchild in March. So there are so many people from the old klos days that I often wonder what happened to them. Officer Quarterman, and Todd Donaho. And so many others I can’t think of at the moment. So many great memories in my life that involve me just being a SRL. Keep up the good work and making us all entertained. Oh by the way. I live in Prescott Arizona. The land of the judge that peed by the courthouse. Crazy stuff. Loving you and I really appreciate what YOU DO
Hey Mark, I was one of your original listeners in Portland and I now find myself leaving in Birmingham AL. Came across this on October 20th on Facebook and thought I would share and ask what is up with the fucking hair? enjoy following you along the way.
