Hi Mark,
I wanted to do a PSA to our WYD community. I just adopted a 13 year old dog who ended up in a shelter because his human of 12 years passed away at the beginning of 2025. He ended up in a senior dog rescue, adopted in February but returned in August because he didn’t work out with them. It breaks my heart that his “forever” human didn’t have instructions/plans for their dog in case they died before the dog did. Does everyone comprehend the trauma this dog experienced for the past few months?
Please pet owners, make a plan for your pet(s) in case of your death. Ask loved ones to take them for you, contact your local rescue (who use foster homes) and ask if they’ll rehome your pets (and leave them money to cover expenses). Write it down, put it in your Will/trust, leave a note for your loved ones to let them know you took care of it and who they should give the pet to. No old four legged companion deserves to end up being euthanized in a cold, unfamiliar, and unforgiving shelter because nobody wants them after you die. Please??

Hey Mark just wanted to let you I’m from SoCal 55 through 92 then moved to Portland. Was so glad when Mark and Brian was on KGON. Now I have discovered What you do. It’s like finding a childhood friend. Love to you and family and keep on rocking.

I agree want you said I’m 56 my daughter is 17 going her last year of high school here in Mexico I’m worried about her kids future and your grandkids this government they don’t fucking care. Mark Gerry Rafferty has been one of my favorite artists since the 70’s. I knew of his troubled life but your Cool Stories definitely enlightened me of his issues in early life also. Seems like his dad being an alcoholic & his fear of being a “star” brought him to his fate. I’m so sad for him. My band has done “Stuck In The Middle With You” for years in his honor. Always loved him, always will. Thank you for that amazing story!

Same problem here…I purchased the book and the audiobook when they 1st came out then my Tablet died on me and when I bought my new tablet I lost track of where it was so I don’t know how to find Book and the audiobook that I purchased. What was the name of the original publisher?
