Hello RG,
I thought you might like to add to your “Birthday Song” library. Those of us that grew up in Southern California might remember a guy that hosted a couple of children’s television programs from 1952 to 1970 on Channel 11. His name was John Rovick, but he was better known to us as Sheriff John. He hosted “Sheriff John’s Lunch Brigade” and “Sheriff John’s Cartoon Time”. Here is a link to the birthday song that he did on his show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ty-3E4SvZPM&list=RDty-3E4SvZPM&start_radio=1
Hey Mark – KTLA just did a story that the Saugus Cafe just reopened after a year of renovation. Itβs actually the oldest diner in Los Angeles county. Go enjoy – itβs almost as old as you!! (Actually itβs 135 years)
Hi Mark. Santa Clarita resident here. The Saugus Cafe isn’t going away because people aren’t patronizing it. There was a leasing issue between the restaurant owner and the landlord. There’s a good chance The Saugus Cafe will remain, but with new ownership. But I agree with you–support your local diner.
Hey RG I just have to comment on the Neil Diamond top ten songs list.
I think they nailed at least 9 of them in whatever order you deem worthy.
But come on man, everyone needs some Porcupine Pie. Give me a double scoop please ππππππ
Love you, for all that you do!
Mark, you are Fucking fantastic at this. “What you do” has evolved each month since you started. No surprise here because this is what you do with every show you have been involved with. I am not kissing your ass bitch just acknowledging that I have a great time each Friday listening to you. Plus, I want your attention so your here longer. Mark, I have been called “the health monitor “by my wife so excuse me for saying this but get off your ass and get in shape. No bodybuilding shit just core, body strengthening and some cardio. I started doing this when I had my first A fib episode and it’s made a big difference. I dread the day Linda replaces you because you feel down the 3 steps to your boat.
Hello! I’ve seen Song Sung Blue & its fantastic!!!! At first I thought it was a Neil Diamond movie that and that’s why I was going but soon found out it was a Neil Diamond tribute act movie and that made me not want to go. I’m so glad I did! That movie takes twists and turns that you never saw coming! And yes bring the kleenex! It’s so so good and I hope you’ve had a chance to see it so we can get your opinion on it. And that top 10 list? Blasphemy! Although I pretty much love all Neil Diamond songs “I am I said” should have been way further up the list! Also, what you did for that gentleman in the wheelchair at the burger place was very kind and compassionate and it’s also something we all should be doing whenever we see someone in need. This is the “we need to do better” thing that we keep talking about. Mark, you definitely did better! Have a fabulous week!

Mark,
Ever notice the older you get, the bigger your computer hard-drive needs to be and the more Post-It notes you use?
