Use this page to say hey, ask a question (which probably won’t get answered), or just to kiss the RG’s ass.

Long time listener, first time writing in to the show. I moved to Birmingham in 2021, and visited Nashville for the 1st time ever this weekend. What a treat! We went to the Grand Ole Opry and the 1st name on the list was T. Graham Brown and he announced that he has the last surviving member of The Swampers as his bassist. So, if you didn’t know, now you do. David Hood is touring with T. Graham Brown with his “From Memphis to Muscle Shoals” tour. (https://tgrahambrown.com/tour-2/).

    Hey RG,
I am one of those people who sometimes back in when I park. I don’t do it when someone is behind me, because that’s rude. When you live in No. California and have had lots of fires, you are encouraged to back into places for ease of escape during a fire. Plus, if you back in when no one’s around, then its easier to pull out later, not to mention safer for women for a quick get away if needed. IOW, some of us are not ass holes about backing in and have a good reason for it. However, for those people who do it and take forever, they give the rest of us a bad wrap! Now you know.

Here’s a mission for Rocket Bob. Gina Rock the Flying Tinker Bell is looking to do podcasts. She’s on Facebook under The Flying Tinker Bell. I’m sure you, Mark, can ask her some really good questions.

    Hi Mark,

Haj from Pasadena here. I fell behind listening to your show while finishing up my visit with my elderly parents in Boston, so I don’t know if anyone has yet answered your question about bidets.

You want to get the Toto Washlet. The Japanese company Toto invented this product category in 1980, and brought it to the US market in 1989. Before they were sold here, my parents purchased several grey market versions from Japan for their house. I think they had relatives mail it to them.

They now come in different models. You’ll want to purchase the one with a wall-mounted remote. The seat-mounted remote can be a little awkward to use.

You’ll need an electrician to install an outlet near the toilet. The plumbing is relatively straightforward, but you can have a handyman or a plumber install it. Since you’re dealing with electricity and water in close proximity, you might want to have someone else do the work.

You replace the current toilet seat, and replace it with this product that combines the seat (a heated seat is available), a small water tank that heats the water, the water sprayer that extends/retracts, and is self-disinfecting, and a blow dryer to dry your butt. As I previously mentioned, the control comes as either part of the seat, or a wall-mounted remote.

I hope that helps! I’d be happy to help you out with product selection if you’d lilke.
    Haj

Mark – Last week you prematurely reported on Chuck Norris’ death. Between then and now, he DID pass away! Hasn’t this happened before?!?

WOW! What a beautiful launch of Artemis II. So proud of everyone behind this, even Elon Musk and Jeff Baysos.

Hey Mark, Huge fan and just wanted to let you know you still entertain me every day. In May of 2011 you talked about finding a fan page for your old radio station and how happy it made you. I have to tell you, I have listened to the Archives of the M&B show from start to finish twice now! It still holds up perfectly and it not only is a fond memory, it gets me through the day, every day, and will continue to. Thanks for all the years man, you guys were the best!
