I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Christopher Tester.
And to all you listeners, remember this podcast is not based in comedy like the original one. This one is listed under Personal Journals, not Comedy.
So do not expect such things like Lynda and Amy to be incorporated into it for fun and laughter.
Mark, you asked for suggestions for future guests. Before I recommend anyone in the future, I/We need to know if you only plan on having guests that are associated within the entertainment industry?
1st New Episode… Ugh, really?? ๐Kokomo? ๐ฌ I thought i was done having to fast forward through that piece of shit during your podcasts. ๐ฉ Otherwise, good interview. ๐
On a rainy Saturday morning in Southern California, sitting in a massage chair with my feet perched in a lukewarm whirlpool bath, ear buds nesting in my head waiting for a hurried woman who’s day started with a flat tire to begin trimming my nails as we chat across a void of inherited language deference conversing about the torrent of storms that has besieged us. Both avoiding a deeper conversation with an expectants that our worlds are to dissimilar. The rain now coming down in buckets, the light is gray and all the colors are muddled.
It comes to me that after a drought of nearly four months that I have a podcast to entertain my calmed mind with. Not any podcast, but a Mark Thompson podcast. Yes, pearls of wisdom from the Radio God himself. The Guru of audible entertainment. The Man who resurrected Grand Funk Railroad.
And what is so compelling about this particular broadcast?
What is so enjoyable about a first kiss?
What makes that fist sensual bond so memorable?
Who said “You never get a second chance at a first impression!”
It’s teasing, it’s titillating, it’s fresh, it’s yet to be unwrapped…….
It’s a beautiful dress as its softly lowered down the curves of an experience yet to come.
I sit back as she draws my leg out of the bath and begins to massage my labored foot. My fingers begin their dance to find the ap on my phone that will unleash the verbal ballet into my headset emitting tones that will draw contemplation, compassion and much laughter.
I think back and wonder how I was able to survive 124 days…… no 2,976 hours….. No!
178,560 seconds without! Just without!
My pule begins to rise. I feel a soft breeze slip under my collar as my back tenses.
I push play……..
Amazing first episode! My husband and I are happy to hear your voice again! ๐๐ป๐ May I ask, who was speaking at the end of the show when the โElvisโ song was playing?
Absolutely loved Christopher Test!!!!! Amazing first episode!!!! He was in England right? For us stupid listeners….. how is there not a delay? And surely if you can have Matthew’s version of Kokomo you can find a place for Amy’s brilliant rendition of “GET OUT OF THE POOL!!!” ๐๐๐
Mark the new podcast is great. Get Lynda back on with you is will be better. Elvis singing Michael Jackson’s song was trip. I think Elvis wood have done it better than that was. I’m looking forward to hearing more of you. Love you all๐๐
Hey, we really enjoyed the new Mark & Elynda, uh, I mean Eleni “Test” show! It was great hearing Mark back in the podcast saddle, and it’s funny how he just can’t help it. Even on what is only supposed to be a boring equipment test, he still turned it into an entertaining mini-show! Well, he and the lovely, tech savvy, musically and vocally talented Eleni that is! Great stuff, and looking forward to the first “actual” show on the 22nd! (We still really miss you though, Lynda!)

POETRY? From a Rich Man in Huntington Beach being administered to by a Southeast Asian woman? LIFE just keeps getting weirder and weirder…
